• Now that we have filed for our election, it’s time to talk about what comes next. The Teamsters Airline Division is conducting a series of important meetings for AA mechanics and related around the country to answer questions and discuss the election process. Click here for more info.

  • For months the TWU has been making big promises about our equity stake. Let’s not forget that this was the one thing that the TWU supposedly won for us in exchange for all of the crippling concessions it allowed the company to force down our throats. This was supposed to be the one silver lining in the whole concessionary agreement we took. That silver lining is looking paper thin now.

  • TWU’s Air Transport Division director Garry Drummond recently sent out an email that arrogantly dismisses the TWU’s failures and attempts to diminish our campaign for Teamster representation. One of our coworkers at JFK has a brilliant response to Drummond that everyone should read.

  • Teamster Airline Division representatives along with members from locals and the IBT Organizing Department held a series of informational meetings for American Airlines and US Airways mechanics and related work groups in JFK, MIA, DFW, ORD, LAX and TUL over the past two weeks. The meetings covered a wide range of topics and highlighted the strengths of the Teamsters.

  • The TWU likes to rewrite history. It’s convenient for them to look at the outsourcing of maintenance work at United Airlines and pin it on the Teamsters. It’s also plainly dishonest. Heavy maintenance for 747 and 777 aircraft at UAL was indeed outsourced to China – but not under the Teamsters.
